I'm With Otis
Jumpstart's Read for the Record!

Thursday, October 3, 2013
6:30-7:30pm

Dear Friends of Schoharie Free Library,

Have you ever wanted to be a part of a world record???  Well now is your chance!  Tell all of your friends and neighbors to stop by the Library this Thursday night at 6:30pm and help us as we join with Jumpstart to Read for the Record.  Make it a family night and spend the evening at the Library assisting us in helping to break the world record of 2.3 million readers reading the same book on the same day! Cuddle up together as we read Otis by Loren Long while you watch the story unfold on our large screen TV.

The Library has purchased a set of Loren Long books that will be available for check out the night of the 'read'. Come dressed and ready for a bedtime story (jammies are acceptable!).

Enjoy family crafts and activities to celebrate this momentous event! Every participant will receive a Certificate of Participation!

This is the one time each year where MILLIONS of people come together to celebrate literacy. Jumpstart's mission is to work toward the goal that one day every child in America will enter kindergarten “ready to succeed”.

Registration is NOT required, but always appreciated so that enough materials are available!

Call 295-7127 or drop by the library and let us know....

I'm With Otis!
See you at the Library!
