Bedtime Storytime!  At Schoharie Free Library What do you get when you join together Mother's Day and Earth Day? Mother's Day Marker Night! Thursday, May 8th 6:30 pm Treat Mom to a new pair of loungies and bring her and the family out to an evening of stories about Mom and Mother Earth. We will be collecting old dried out markers as well for recycling and we need YOUR help to fill our giant marker! All collected markers will be sent out to be recycled into fuel! Pre-registration requested! Call 295-7127 for details.

Please be aware that the Library will be CLOSED this Thursday 5/1.  No fines will be charged for that day.  I do plan to be open Friday, altho the place may be a mess.  Getting a  CIRCULATION DESK and other library WOOD things like counter tops and bookcase ends installed!!!!!  So excited!!

Ukranian Egg Decorating Demonstration Schoharie Free Library Saturday, April 12th 11:00am-12:00pm Have you ever wondered how these beautiful eggs are created? Pysanka have been in existence for centuries. Watch as these beautiful works of art are created before your eyes! Then journey over to the Egg Museum to see some of these beautiful creations on display!

Our celebration of the opening of the Mildred Vrooman Egg Museum continues! Schoharie Free Library is hosting our very FIRST Chicken Egg-Spo Friday, April 11th at 6:30pm in cooperation with Cornell Cooperative Extension Eggs are wiggling! We are opening after hours and have HIGH hopes that our new baby chicks will be arriving!   Come and learn about how they hatch and what you can do to start your own little chick farm! Chick themed activities and fun for all! Pre-registration is appreciated! Call 295-7127

The ribbon has been officially cut

and the Mildred Vrooman Egg Exhibit is officially open!

The Easter Egg Museum, located on Covered Bridge Lane

at the intersection of Routes 30 and 443 in Schoharie,

will be opening every Friday through Sunday from April 4^th- 20^th

and by appointment to benefit the Library.

for the Egg Museum Basket and the Keur-Egg Basket.

Tickets can be purchased at the Egg Museum,

where the baskets are now on display, or at the Library.

ll proceeds go toward future library projects.

We are hoping that our baby chicks will be hatching this week between April 10^th-12^th. We will be celebrating their arrival with an exciting week of programming.

Our new project is creating “Lap-gans” for the the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center. Each lap-gan is 4'x 4' in size and can be in any design or color.

and pick up your yarn to begin your project during library hours.
