Christmastime in Schoharie

Christmastime in Schoharie @ The Library
started with Jody & Her Daughter
reading Christmas stories to the kids.

Then came the tree ornament craft; big decisions were made
about which color to add next...
The SCS Elementary Band Ensemble
played for alomst an hour...

...which this little reader ignored.

The happiest person was Mrs. Santos,
who won the raffle for the Arlene Vrooman "Santa is Coming" quilt!

Steve Krasner Writing Workshop

Sportswriter and children's books author Steve Krasner (yes, the Red Sox Steve Krasner) was here on Veteran's Day to present a writing workshop for kids/parents. I can tell you there was a LOT of enthusiastic "verbal participation" for parts of it, but I trusted the grownups to keep him under control!
