Story Time Returns!!
Friday December 7th @ 10am will be our first Story Time since Hurricane Irene was here. Mrs. Jill Sholtes will read several stories to your young children, and they will all make a small craft to take home. Come yourself, and tell a neighbor about it - help spread the word we are back!

Wilkinson Book Signing
The Schoharie Free Library is proud
to host a book signing for local author John Wilkinson on Thursday August 23rd
at 7 p.m. He will have copies of his
newest book “The Schoharie Valley” (one of the popular “Images of America” series
by Arcadia Publishing) available to purchase, plus he will sign copies already
owned. The 167-page book follows the path of the
Schoharie Creek within Schoharie County, documenting the settlements along its
shores from south to north with black and white photographs gleaned from many
sources, and is dedicated to the victims and volunteers of the Hurricane Irene
flood. Please call the Library at 295-7127
with any questions.

Picked Out THIS Many New Books
Went on a field trip to Market Block Books with Sue Rokos of MVLS and Terry Pavoldi from the Middleburgh Library to redeem the donations of Stanley Hadsell's very generous customers. Beautiful store, and look at the length of the register slips!
Andy Has Returned!
Andy came for a brief visit and to give his stamp of approval for the new carpeting in the Addition. Another sign of normalcy returning...

Still a Work in Progress
We have walls, and they have been taped and plastered, and will be primed this week. The cleaning company has been here to measure for an estimate. Once it's clean so the mastic will actually stick to the floor, then carpeting can happen. It's really gonna happen!
Went to Community Library (Cobleskill) this morning to accept a check from the Teddy Bear Picnic & Raffle. Whoever would have thought that all those cute bears could have made $800 for our Library PLUS money for the Middleburgh Library?!? Thank you, Ginger Houghton of Schenectady!
